I'm Christopher Smith, the founder and lead financial advisor at Origin Wealth Management. I created this firm with a clear purpose: to provide the most comprehensive financial planning solutions without the high barriers, sales pressure, or asset minimums that too often define traditional wealth management.
My professional background includes banking, capital markets, and private wealth management, where I’ve guided families and businesses through complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence. Prior to my career in finance, I served in the United States Marine Corps infantry, an experience that instilled in me a global outlook, discipline, and a deep commitment to serving others, all of which I carry into my work with clients today.
I believe in providing financial advice with the heart of a teacher, making sure my clients not only feel confident in their plan, but truly understand the “why” behind every decision. My goal is to empower you to take control of your financial future with clarity and purpose.
I live in Northern Virginia with my wife, Gabriella, and our cat, Misty. Outside of work, we enjoy hiking Virginia’s scenic trails and traveling to new places around the world. Whether it’s exploring national parks here in the U.S. or immersing ourselves in different cultures abroad, we’re always seeking new experiences that broaden our perspective.
